Blessed Bayou Candles is dedicated to bringing warmth, light, and joy to our community. Created in January 2025, we aim to create hyper realistic bakery candles and wax melts that not only envelope your home with a delicious scent but also serve as a journey through time, evoking cherished memories and moments from the past. Each item is handmade from high-quality ingredients, these candles and melts not only scent your space, but also help create a warm, inviting atmosphere that reminds you of the beautiful memories that shaped you. At Blessed Bayou Candles, we believe in supporting our neighbors and spreading positivity, one candle at a time. We are Women owned, Disabled Veteran owned, and Hispanic owned. 

Sherri retired in 2024 from the USMC as a civilian employee and previously served on active duty with the US Navy for 8.5 years. 

Mary is a 4th generation Mexican American that moved to Louisiana from Texas over 20 years ago. 

The two ladies first met while working in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Hurricane Katrina Disaster Recovery in the late 2000's. At the time, Sherri was making dessert candles as a hobby, but eventually stopped due to the demands of her full time job. Life took the ladies in different directions - Mary became a teacher, and Sherri moved to Arizona to work at a Marine Corps base. Although, Sherri never planned to return to Louisiana, she found herself back in town, and once again their paths converged. The stars aligned as the ladies contemplated making candles. Sherri decided to move back to Louisiana, and together, she and Mary took the necessary steps to create Blessed Bayou Candles.
